Albert J. Taylor, 75, of Winder, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at his residence.
He was born in Habersham County, the son of the late Fred and Inez Savage Taylor. He was a retired steel fabricator with the J.M. Tull Company. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his former wife of 33 years, Catherine Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Taylor, Winder; children, Donnie “Buffalo” Taylor, Steve F. Taylor, Chris D. Taylor, Cathy Wilson and Cindy McKeehan, all of Winder; brother, David Taylor, Clayton; sisters, Lila Mae Jones, Clayton, and Betty Jean Smith, Tiger; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 1, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Sims officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Turnerville. Pallbearers were Brian Vaughn, Corey Taylor, Justin Partain, Chris McKeehan, Charles Eaton and Steven Owen. Honoraries were Emory Kimbrell, Raymond Barrett and Bobby Stancil.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
