Frances Nelms Brown, 84, of Comer, died Sunday, November 9, 2008, at her residence.
She was born in Elbert County on November 7, 1924, the daughter of the late Jack and Sallie McConnell Nelms. She was a homemaker and a member of the Vineyard Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Samuel Brown; a son, Noah Jackie Brown; and daughter, Bonnie Sue Brown.
Survivors include a daughter, Gaynell Williamson, Comer; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 12, at 1 p.m., at the Vineyard Creek Baptist Church cemetery with the Revs. Larry Green and Dennis Wester officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, November 11, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
