Lucille Geneva Roberts Shoemake, 87, of Braselton, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Willow Wood Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Hall County and the daughter of the late William Clay and Pearl Ethel Simpson Roberts. She was a homemaker and a member of Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Shoemake was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie William Shoemake; sons, Winford Shoemake Jr. and Willard William Shoemake; and grandsons, Charles Anthony Shoemake and Tommy Lee Shoemake.
Survivors include grandchildren, Kathy Taylor, Linda Iannuzzi and Patricia Andrews; eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ossie Howington and Ethel Beck, both of Gainesville; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 9, from 1 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
