Charles Glen Pentecost, 74, of Winder, died Thursday, November 6, 2008.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of the late Glen and Bethel Jones Pentecost. He was a member of Pentecost Methodist Church, was retired from IBM, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force in Korea. Mr. Pentecost was preceded in death by a son, Charles Andrew Pentecost; and a brother, Jack Pentecost.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Maxwell and Wanda Pentecost, Winder; grandchildren, Max and Britt Elise Pentecost; brothers and sister-in-law, John R. and Sue Ellen Pentecost and Alan Pentecost, all of Winder; and a sister, Carmen Hall, Winder.
Graveside services were held Saturday, November 8, at Pentecost Methodist Church cemetery with George Chassevat and the Rev. Dave Staton officiating.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
