Danny Raul Poole, 69, of Comer, died Thursday, October 30, 2008.
He was born on September 11, 1939, the son of the late John J.B. and Willela Poole. He was Baptist and was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. He graduated from Athens High School Class of 1957, and was owner of Poole Construction.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Ruby Poole; sons, Mark Poole, Randy Poole and Michael Poole; a daughter, Susan Meadow; sister, Gwendolyn Burnley; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 2, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with the Revs. Wayne Arnold and Jeff Seymore officiating. Burial was in Comer Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association.
Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
