Eugenia Johnson

Eugenia Hailey Johnson, 87, of Royston, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008.

A native of Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Addie Kidd Hailey. She was a member of Royston Baptist Church. A graduate of Agnes Scott College, she was a retired elementary school teacher, and had been active in Delta Kappa Gamma. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Clete D. Johnson.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bob Marett, St. Simons Island; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Suzanne Johnson, Royston, and Linton and Diane Johnson, Elberton; grandchildren, Hailey M. Reid, Clete Johnson, Suzy Maier, Lint Johnson, Anna J. Barnett, Alli Johnson and Alex Johnson; a great-grandson, Skyler Reid; and a sister, Mary H. Bailey, Hartwell.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 2, at Royston Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Barton officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
