Josie Bell Rousey Pullien, 83, of Royston, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
She was born in Madison County on August 8, 1925, the daughter of the late Loney J. and Mary Brown Rousey. She was a seamstress and a member of the Unity Baptist Church. Mrs. Pullien was preceded in death by her husband, Kavy “Buck” Pullien; and brothers, Wofford, T.J. and Jim Rousey.
Survivors include a son, James Pullien, Royston; daughters, Joyce Barton, Royston, and Florence Lawson, Hartwell; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 2, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Reggie Vaughn and Paul Rowe officiating. Burial was in the Mill Shoal Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Unity Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
