Sarah Blondine Caudell Leverett, 81, of Lula, died Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
She was born on September 23, 1927, in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Lam and Maude Crowe Caudell. She lived most of her life in Stephens County and the past 18 years in Lula. She was retired from Milliken Humphrey Plant and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lula. Mrs. Leverett was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Wheeler.
Survivors include her husband, Ross Leverett, Lula; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Kathy Leverett, Toccoa; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie “Beck” Kirby, Toccoa; brother, Dwain Caudell, Toccoa; half-brother, Carl Caudell, Titusville, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 27, at Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Jerrell Beatty and Michael Smith officiating. Burial was in Toccoa City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dwight Griffin, Billy Mealor, Lamar Davis, Larry Nix, Kevin Leverett and Rodney Burdette.
