HULL - Brenda Ann Callaway, 49, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Linton Ridgeway Callaway and Catherine Bradley Callaway. Brenda was a devout Christian and had attended Fine Finish in Danielsville until 2009.
Brenda spent most of her life in a wheelchair due to muscular dystrophy, but she never asked why or felt sorry for herself. The disease finally took everything she had.
“Your family did everything that we could to keep you with us, but we finally realized that was not right, that Mama needed you more. March 19 was a special day for us as it was the day of Mama’s passing seven years ago. We felt in our hearts that she spoke to you that it was time to come home with her. You left this world with dignity and grace. Forever in our hearts you will be missed. Your hurting is over. Go walk and run in heaven.”
Survivors include sisters, Pam (Ronnie) Williams and Barbara (Ricky) Busbin; nieces, Dawn (Scott) Jarrett and Candace (Casey) Crane; nephew, Brandon Busbin and his fiancé, Leah Shiver; and several grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service was held Sunday, March 23, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Kenny Ball officiating. Burial was at the Gordon’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Bird, Jimmy Bird, Casey Crane, Brandon Busbin, Scott Jarrett, and Randy Gabriel. Honorary pallbearer was Noah Crane.
