Carolyn Scalone Widmer, 74, of Jefferson, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008.
She was born in Astoria, N.Y., the daughter of the late Rocco and Mildred Brenna Scalone. She was a retired administrative assistant with the United States Marine Corp and the Environmental Protection Agency. She attended St. Catherine Laboure’ Catholic Mission in Commerce.
Survivors include her former husband, George Widmer, Brentwood, N.Y.; a daughter, Georgiana Powers, Jefferson; son, Gregory Rhett, Acworth; grandchildren, Jacob Powers, Justin Powers, George Widmer, Will Hendrix and Johnny Hendrix; brother, Ronald Scalone, Woodstock; nieces and nephews, Rocco Scalone, Galen Scalone and Carla Scalone.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evans Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
