NICHOLSON - Arnell Farmer, 95, died Friday, February 28, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Farmer was born in Nicholson, the son of the late James Alexander and Nettie Wright Farmer. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from the Navy Supply School. Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Allie Seagraves Farmer, Nicholson; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Jimmy Lemke, Augusta; daughter-in-law, Charlene Farmer, Dripping Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Scarlett Giles, Ashley Lemke, Brandice Davey, and Damon Farmer; and great-grandchildren, Colin Giles, Kendall Giles, Amelia Giles, Allie Farmer, Mackenzie Farmer, Kylie Davey, and Easton Davey.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 3, at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Seagraves officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 1, from 6 to 8 p.m.
