HOSCHTON - Russell “Rusty” Todd Cook, 43, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014.
Born in Athens, he was the son of Edwin and Diane Perkins Cook of Jefferson. He worked for Quality Foods and was a member of the Northeast Church in Braselton, where he played drums in the Praise Band.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Melissa Jane Owensby Cook; daughter, Sydney Cook; son, Bryson Cook, all of Hoschton; brother, Chuck (Becky) Cook, Jefferson; grandmother, Hazel Bruce, Winder; nephews and nieces, Kallon, Mallory, Noah and Greyson; mother and father-in-law, James and Judy Owensby, Maysville; and sister and brother-in-law, Tim and Jennifer Nichols, Commerce.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, at 11 a.m. in the Northeast Church with Pastor Russ Harbin and the Rev. Verlin Reece officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, February 10, from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northeast Church, 2001 Cherry Dr., Braselton, GA 30517.
