JEFFERSON - Jerry Lynn Adams, 71, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014.
He was born in Toccoa, the son of the late J.B. and Alma Jean Brown Adams. He retired from Mack Berry Construction Company, where he was a heavy equipment operator, and was a member of the Arcade Community Church. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, Olin Adams; and sister, Frances Roach.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Brock Adams, Jefferson; son, Timothy “Willie” Wilson, Jefferson; daughter, Lisa Baxter, Pendergrass; sisters, Peggy Hardigree, Jefferson, and Betty Cody, Maysville; brothers, Ricky Adams, Commerce, and Bob Adams, Martin; two grandsons, Terry “Scoot” Baxter Jr. and Nicholas “Wormdog” Baxter.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 26, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Palmer Pace and David Maddox officiating. The burial will follow in the Howington Cemetery in Nicholson with Dennis Hardigree, Daniel Hardigree, Terry (Scoot) Baxter, Nicholas Baxter, Cecil Land, and Dave Martin honored as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
