JEFFERSON - Betty Jean King McDaniel, 79, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014.
She was born in Wilmington, S.C., the daughter of the late Berry and Lois Irby King. She was a homemaker and a member of Crying in the Wilderness Church in Commerce. Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband, LC McDaniel.
Survivors include children, Fay King, Winder, Janey Andrews, Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mattie Smith, Winder, Helen Morrison, Commerce, Louise Smith, Nicholson, LC McDaniel, Jr., Taylorsville, Carolyn Perry, Jefferson, Paul McDaniel, Jefferson, Margie Kemper, Danielsville, and Jeniffer Hudson, Gainesville; brother, Charles King, Huntsville, Ala.; 28 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grand children; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday January 12, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Loyd Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Smith 1154 Hwy. 211 NE Winder, GA 30690 on Friday, January 10, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
