DANIELSVILLE – Broden Holloway passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013, at the Landmark Hospital in Athens.
He was born in Danielsville on March 20, 1933, the son of the last S.T. and Janie Bratcher Holloway. He was a farmer and retail farm equipment dealer and a longtime member of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Danielsville Masonic Lodge, one of the founding members of the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department and the Broad River rural Heritage Tractor Club. Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by a brother, James N. (J.N.) Holloway.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Holloway; sons and daughters-in-law, Broden Wayne and Beth Starr Holloway and Nelson and Kendra Fuller Holloway, Danielsville; two grandchildren, Morgan Holloway and Fuller Holloway; two grandchildren, Morgan Holloway and Fuller Holloway; brothers, Dupree Holloway, Greenwood, S.C., and S.T. Holloway Jr. (Junior), Danielsville; sisters, Zell Holloway Miller, Danielsville, and Alice Holloway Neal, Gastonia, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27,at 11 a.m., at the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church in Danielsville, with the Revs. Tom Elliott, Richard Huycke, and Glenn Lyles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at home.
