HOMER - Woody Monroe English, 75, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013.
Mr. English was born in Banks County on September 24, 1938, the son of Blattice Sisk English of Homer, and the late Floyd C. English. Mr. English was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, and was the owner and operator of Four Seasons Fishing Guide Service. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. English was a retired store manager with Home Depot with 30 years of service and was formerly employed with Toccoa Casket Company.
Survivors in addition to his mother include a daughter, Tammy English Merry, Toccoa; sons, Terry English, Toccoa and Treavor English, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Debbie English, Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Randall Holbrooks, Demorest; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Kathy English, Homer, Wayne and Maevrie English, Demorest, and Lamar and Robin English, Homer; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, December 6, at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Todd officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, at the funeral home.
