Mary Ann Williams McElveen, 78, of Danielsville, formerly of Charlotte, N.C., died Saturday, October 18, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
She was born in Madison County, the daughter of the late Homer and Ouida Ginn Williams and was a homemaker. Mrs. McElveen was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dallas McElveen.
Survivors include a daughter, Robin S. Phillips, Danielsville; son and daughter-in-law, Mike McElveen Sr. and Janet McElveen, Kingsland; a sister, Sandra Nash, Commerce; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Mike and Chrissy McElveen Jr.; grandson, David McElveen; great-grandchildren, Megan, Bubby and Wesley McElveen; a devoted friend and caregiver, Paul Sprague; and her beloved dog, Sophie.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, at 2 p.m., at Ila Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Ila Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, October 20, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
