Virgil P. Jackson, 92, of Winder, died Friday, May 9, 2008.

He was a native of Crawfordville, and the son of the late John Henry and Ellen Leola Culver Jackson. He had resided in Winder since 1998 and was a former resident of Riviera, Fla., where he managed a grocery store.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Dial Jackson, Winder; sons, Robert M. Jackson and Jerold Jackson, both of Florida; daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Jackson, Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, at 7 p.m., at Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Flanigan officiating. Burial will be in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 10, at the funeral home from 2 to 7 p.m.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
