JEFFERSON - Margaret "Peggy" Frank, 67, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, following an extended illness.
She was a native of Gadsden, Ala., and was the daughter of the late Louis and Billie Pardue. Mrs. Frank was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Pardue. Peggy retired as a dental hygienist upon moving to Jefferson for the raising of her children, Angela and Donald in 1987. She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Jefferson Pilot Club. Peggy served as corporate secretary of the Banks-Jackson Food Bank for the past 20 years.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Thomas R. Frank; daughter and daughter-in-law, Angela and Kim O'Connor, Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sherri Frank, Falls Church, Va.; and grandson, Solan O'Conner, Athens.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 5, at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Vaughn Howington and Don Moore officiating. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. A private burial will follow in the family lot in the Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden, Ala.
