MONROE – Jaymie Leigh Flood, 36, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.
She was the daughter of David and Vickie Hardy Flood of Buford. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dlean Hardy, formerly of Jefferson, and Pat Flood, formerly of Erie, Pa. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on September 10, 1977 and had lived in the metro Atlanta area for the past 28 years. She loved her children and her family very much. She also adored the many children she met during the several years she worked as a school bus driver for the Gwinnett and Barrow county schools. Later on in life, she was employed with STS Utility Location Services, a challenging job that she truly enjoyed. Jaymie will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends, loved ones stated.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her three beloved children, Gauge Lawrence Futter, Madison Elaine Futter, and Jackson Glenn Futter, all of Monroe; her children’s father and stepmother, Eric and Sharon Futter, Lawrenceville; sisters, Erika R. Radek, Washington, and Stephanie N. Hensley, Duluth; grandfathers, Albert Hardy, Jefferson, and Gordon Flood, Erie, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 25, at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, with the Rev. Tilly Welborn officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
