ALTO – Eunice Bell Ferguson, 78, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013.
Born in Banks County on October 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Norman J. and Dovie Wade Ferguson. She was a magna cum laude graduate of Piedmont College, where she was also a member of the Torch Club. She was a retired accountant with many years of service with Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon Corporation. A lifelong resident of Banks County, she was a very warm, caring, and generous person. She loved her Lord, family, and friends deeply. Mrs. Ferguson also enjoyed traveling and all of God’s creations. She was preceded in death by her infant brother, F. Cline Ferguson; and a brother-in-law, F. Cline Shook, Jr. She was of the Holiness denomination.
Survivors include a sister, Opal F. Shook, Alto; and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Bishop Clarence Reynolds, the Revs. Sanford Kimbrell and Scott Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in B.C. Grant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25.
