COMMERCE - Izora Lewallen Stevens, 84, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at Northridge Medical Center.
She was born in Carnesville, the daughter of the late William Russell and Lula Segars Lewallen. She was a homemaker and a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her husband, Stig Morris Stevens; and two granddaughters, Melanie Waters and Kelly Wood Anderson.
Survivors include daughters, Mildred Bell (Ricky), Watkinsville, Mary Allen (Dave), Danielsville, Bessie Minish (Payton), Commerce, Betty Harris (Robert), Jefferson, Ola Parsons, Warner Robbins, and Nora Waters (Curtis), Eastanolle; sons, John Stevens (June) and Lester Stevens, both of Commerce; sister, Mary Howington, Monroe; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Gordon officiating with the interment following at the New Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, September 17, from 12 to 2 p.m.
