BRASELTON - Geraldine Deaton Bell, 93, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
She was born in Hall County, the daughter of the late Levi Turner and Daisy Fraser Deaton. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She also worked in the Brunswick Shipyard during World War II and also for Lockheed and Richs Department Store. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Dean Bell, Sr.; sons, Douglas Charles Bell and Jesse Dean Bell, Jr.; brothers, William Ralph Deaton, Leonard Turner Deaton, and Winford Hardwick Deaton; and a sister, Dorothy Deaton Bowles.
Mrs. Bell is survived by a loving family which includes a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Turner Bell and Jean, Hoschton; daughter and son-in-law, Pattie Bell Wheeler and Bobby, Braselton; sisters, Irene Deaton Reed and Jewell Deaton Thomas, Oakwood; four grandchildren, Russell Levi Bell, Daniel Jesse Bell, Jesse Robert Wheeler, and Stephanie Michelle Wheeler; and a great-grandchild, Mason Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Cary Pittman officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandchildren and nephews will be honored as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, September 10, from 7 to 9 p.m.
