ATLANTA - Elizabeth Woody Putman, 94, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013, at the Eva & Erma Personal Care Home in Snellville.
She was born in Madison County on March 29, 1919, the daughter of the late Urbanus Sylvester and Lettie Ann Bond Woody. She was a hairdresser and a member of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church in Danielsville. Mrs. Putman was preceded in death by her husband, James Putman; and brothers, John C., Roger T., Paul T., and William S. Woody. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Guy Woody, Danielsville, James A. Woody, Commerce, Sarah Hunnings, Hiram, Ann Payson, Springfield, Mass., Paul Woody, II, Sylvester, Carol Armour, Cleveland, and Alesia Woody Rapkin, Grayson.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery at a later date.
