MAYSVILLE - Alma Bloodworth Porter, 84, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013.
She was born in Oglethorpe County, the daughter of the late Elmer and Daisy (Gee) Bloodworth.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph M. Porter, Maysville; sons, Joseph "Bucky" (Diane) Porter, Gillsville, and Jerry "Bo" (Shirley) Porter, Gainesville; brother, Clifford Bloodworth, McDonough; grandchildren, Jennifer Porter, Scott (Debbie) Porter, Todd (Angie) Porter, and Rodney (Denise) Porter; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, at 11 a.m. with Revs. Chris Porter and John Batusic officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 13, from 6 until 8 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Jackson Memorial Gardens.
