Jesse Dewitt Ballenger, 58, of Homer, died Monday, October 13, 2008, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was the son of Dorothy Ballenger of Commerce.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Dale Ballenger, Homer; a son, Stacy Ballenger, Gillsville; daughter, Marie Clark, Homer; brother, Jimmy Ballenger, Carnesville; sister, Betty Chambers, Gillsville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 15, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. George Tubbs officiating. Burial will be in the Mason Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 14, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
