ATLANTA - Rebecca Jane Allen Black, 91, died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Commerce, the daughter of the late Frank and Earlie Seagraves Allen. She was retired as the director of circulation of the library at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She was a member of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church of Atlanta. She graduated from Ila High School and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas Black.
Survivors include a daughter, Earlene Vestal, Atlanta; grandchildren, Philip Vestal, Augusta, Joel Vestal, Indianapolis, Ind., and Anne Vestal Edwards, Jacksonville, Fla.; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 7, at 1 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Commerce with Daniel Vestal and Carlton Allen officiating.
