ROYSTON - B.T. Bell, 91, of 251 Timberlake Circle, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston.
He was born in Carnesville on October 31, 1921, the son of the late Jasper Bell and Alma Elrod Bell. He was a retired construction worker and attended the Goldmine Church of God. Mr. Bell served in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Etta Jo Smith Bell, Royston; son, Billy Bell, Danielsville; daughter, Rosemary Bell Gray, Hartwell; grandchildren, Mandi Harris, Adam Bell, Kerry Bell, Shane Bell, Christy Bell, and Rusty Bell; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Bell of Hull, and Ray Bell, Hartwell; sisters, Mildred Baker, Danielsville, and Ossie Bell, Comer.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by two sons, B.T. Bell, Jr. and Dwight Keith Bell; grandson, Brian Bell; three brothers, Leon Bell, Thurmond Bell, and Hubert Bell; and two sisters, Jewell Joly and Bernice Cothran.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26, at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until funeral hour on Friday afternoon.
