DANIELSVILLE - Loyd Thomas “Tom Bill” Dove went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, July 23, 2013, at the Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston.
Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Phinize and Louvie Stephens Dove. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Mr. Dove worked at Candlestick Yarns in Royston for over 30 years and was a loving father, husband and friend, loved ones stated.
Survivors include his wife, Florine Graham Dove, Danielsville; daughters, Mary (Gary Hanley) Johnson, Danielsville, Barbara (April Artist) Dove, Danielsville; son, Samuel (Lori) Dove, Lawrenceville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated and memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, July 25, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Danielsville located at 42 Booger Hill Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until the time of service and at other times at the home of Mary Johnson located at 10416 Wild Cat Bridge Road in Danielsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Advantage in Athens in memory of Mr. Dove.
Ivie Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
