Waymon W. Ingram, born March 8, 1930, was received in Heaven's Gates as another angel of God on Thursday, July 16, 2013.
He was born in Banks County, the son of the late Buren and Ora Ingram and was raised in Commerce. He retired from Delta Air Lines in June of 1992 and was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by sisters, Agatha Minish and Florence Ingram; brother, Eugene Ingram, and nephew, Wilburn Minish.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Dodd Ingram; stepchildren, Rick and Phyllis Gaddy, Dennis and Judy Gaddy, and Sue and Mark Watson, step-grandchildren, Amy and Joshua Butts, Jim and Michelle Gaddy, Matthew and Heather Watson, Brittany and Brandon Jackson, Emilie Watson, and Nicki Gosdin; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Wanda and Robert Purcell, Jestean Faulkner, Beverly and Lawrence George, Wilma and Thurmond Alewine, Sybil and Stan Haigler, Fred and Martha Ingram, Larry and Kathleen Ingram, and Allan and Lynn Ingram.
Memorial services were held Saturday, July 20, at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Beard officiating.
