GAINESVILLE - Twylita Ferguson Gee, 45, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 17, 2013 in Lebanon United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Marshal Dale and Rev. Sven Mossinger will officiate. Burial will follow in Lebanon United Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Wards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gee was a lifelong resident of Hall County. She worked for the Hall County Board of Education as a 7th grade teacher at East Hall Middle School and was Director for the East Hall Viking Band. Before teaching in Hall County she taught school at Barrow County Middle School.
She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church where she had served as Youth Director, Chairman of Trustees, Music Education and was very active in other Church activities.
Mrs. Gee was preceded in death by her father Rev. J.D. Ferguson.
Survivors include her husband, Horace E. Gee, Jr., Gainesville; sons Andrew Ferguson and Matthew Gee, Gainesville; mother and stepfather Gwendolyn Ferguson Butterworth and Carter Butterworth, Gillsville; sister and brother-in-law Tonita and Michael Buffington, Gillsville; step-sister and brother-in-law Carol and David Purcell, Roswell; step-sister Vickie Savage, Cornelia; nieces and husbands Chrisondra and Billy Ransom, Gillsville, Whitney and Will Chapman, Gainesville; two great-nieces Haylee Ransom and Skyler Chapman; great-nephew Mason Ransom; and a number of other relatives.
