HULL – Harold K. “Mutt” Faulkner, 64, loving husband of 41 years to Gilda Booth Faulkner, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
A native of Colbert, he was the son of the late Roy A. and Allie Mae Melton Faulkner. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from the US Post Office after 33 years. Mutt truly loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa or Poppy.
Survivors in addition to his wife include three children, Nile (Kandace) Faulkner, Hull, Josh (Sheyna) Faulkner, Athens, and Carrie (Troy) Yancey, Hull; siblings, Kerry Faulkner, Marie Seagraves, Ronnie Faulkner, and Gerry Faulkner; six grandchildren, Dillon, Allie and Kaitlann Faulkner and Riley, Reagan and Ryder Yancey; mother-in-law, Mary Alice Booth, Comer; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with the Rev. Terry James officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Alewine, Bo Alewine, Clarke Looney, Jason Booth, Clint Booth and Wesley Booth. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the funeral home.
