WINDER - Margaret Jean Urey, 88, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
A native of Franklin, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Kenny and Millie Kinch Lusher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Urey; a son, Tom Urey; grandson, Terry Acker; and great-granddaughter, Stephanie Summerour. Mrs. Urey was affectionately known to her family as "Motha," "Ooey," "Noni" and "Mawmaw." She was a retired supervisor with the John Harland Company and was a member of the Winder First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include children, Jon (Laura) Urey, Elizabethtown, Ky., Charlotte Urey, Winder, and Debra Bonser, Lawrenceville; daughter-in-law, Ruthie Urey, Stone Mountain; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Winder First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Brock Burnett officiating. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker. The family will receive friends Friday, June 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home.
