HULL - Geneva Adams Rice, 92, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013.
Born in Madison County on November 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Texie Gunnells Adams. She was retired from the University of Georgia Libraries Photographic Services. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Joy-Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Adams; and her husband of 61 years, Coy Rice.
Survivors include a son, Steve Rice; daughter, Brenda Rice Thompson and husband Charles, both of Hull; grandchildren, Chris Thompson and wife Sarah, Peachtree City, Kelly Thompson Davis and husband Mitchell, Atlanta, and Clayton Rice, Hull; great-grandchildren, Katie, Truitt, Jack and Eloise Thompson, Peachtree City; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 9, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Hull with the Revs. Jonathan Tolbert and Randy Crowe officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
