Florence Helton Freeman, 71, of Gainesville, formerly of Cleveland, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Born in White County, she was the daughter of the late Gus and Assie London Helton.
Mrs. Freeman was the sister of Dorothy Howard of Gillsville, and Ann Helton Huneycutt, Baldwin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Revs. Dennis Taylor, Mike Gaines, Bobby Jones and Jerry Vandiver officiating. Burial will be in Old Nacoochee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 9, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
