Willie Winn

Willie Jean Duncan Winn, 82, of Royston, died Monday, October 6, 2008, at the Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton.

Born in Elbert County on June 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Lacy Jones and Georgia Dickerson Duncan. She was a homemaker and member of the Unity Baptist Church. Mrs. Winn was preceded in death by her husband, O’Neal Winn; a son, Randy Winn; brothers, Charles, Asaz and Lames Duncan; and a sister, Mamie Jo Duncan Phillips.

Survivors include daughters, June Davis, Birmingham, Judy Winn, Bowman, and Jeanne Mills, Montgomery, Ala.; a brother, Sammy Duncan, Waynsboro, Tenn.; sisters, Ann Duncan Jones and Milner Duncan Hartzog, both of Barnwell, S.C., Virginia Duncan Michaels, Bowman; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 8, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 8, from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
