POLO, MO. - Robert "Bob" Stewart, 70, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013.
He had previously lived in Winder, and Northeast Kansas City, Mo. Bob was born to Curtis E. and Frances M. Stewart in O'Fallon, Mo., on December 6, 1942.
He was a veteran and a 1975 graduate of Columbia College with a nursing degree after which he worked at Ellis Hospital in Columbia, Mo., Barrow Hospital in Georgia, and most recently in the Headache and Pain Center in Kansas. Robert was also the owner of Rapid Robert Delivery Service until he retired. After retirement, Bob worked part-time for the Caldwell County Senior Nutrition Center until he became ill.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William E. Stewart.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda, of the home; children, Robert "Robbie" L. Stewart (Lisa), Bethlehem, Erin E. Alvarez (Rolando), Winder, Michael C. Baize (Kim), Columbia, Mo., Sharon L. Simmons and Sarah S. McCray (Robert), Gladstone, Mo., and Susan E. Richards (Dan), Independence, Mo.; brother, Michael G. Stewart (Laura), North Kansas City; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hamilton, Mo.
Visitation and Rosary will be at 10 a.m. until service time, at the church.
