Jimmie Shedd Sr. (3-4-12)

WINDER - Jimmie Shedd, Sr., 81, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013.

Jimmie had a passion for sports. He umpired baseball and softball in Winder. He loved his family, life and people. Mr. Shedd was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Shedd.

Survivors include sons Jimmie Shedd, Jr. and Zita, Auburn, and Sammie Shedd and Claudia, Winder; daughters, Vickie Motes and Jerry, Winder, and Beth Bentley and David, Lexington; brothers, Billy Shedd and Flora, Winder, David Shedd and Gail, Winder, and Clifton Shedd and Barbara, Winder; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 8, at the chapel of Lawson Funeral Home. Interment was at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Cory Sexton officiated.

Lawson Funeral Home, Hoschton, was in charge of arrangements.
