SUN CITY CENTER, FLA. – Fred William Lewis, 90, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013.
He was born in Harlan County, Ky., August 21, 1922, and was the third of ten children born to Chester and Florence Lewis. Bill and Ruby lived in Homer for 13 years, where they were active in the Homer Baptist Church and held community Bible studies in their home as well.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Taylor Lewis, of the home; a daughter, Vivalera Lewis Hiroms Stich and husband, Charles Stich; two grandsons, Michael and Billy Hiroms; five great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; brother, Garret Giles Lewis and his wife, Maggie, Paris, Ky.; brother-in-law, Burrell Taylor and wife, Audrey, Commerce; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, Fla.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Life Path Hospice Green Team, 11150 N. 53rd St., Tempe Terrace, FL 33617.
