BRASELTON - Fannie Juanelle Whitehurst, 82, died Monday February 25, 2013, at her residence.
Born in Douglas, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Wright and Maybelle Vickers Pope. She had lived in Braselton for the last five years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Walnut Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Slade, Braselton, and C.W. Slade, Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Patricia Futural, Savannah; brothers, Lonnie Pope, Gainesville, and George Pope, Braselton; granddaughter, Rhonda K. Browne, Pompono Beach, Fla.; great-grandson, Jonathon Chase Slade, Braselton.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Walnut Fork Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Walnut Fork Baptist Church, 557 Highway 60, Hoschton, GA 30548.
