Linda Weathers (3-2-13)

JEFFERSON – Linda Joy Weathers, 60, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born on October 15, 1952, in Habersham County, the daughter of the late Rev. Paul Jones, Sr. and Mary Esther Jones. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Daniel; sister, Janette Eller; and brothers, Roy "Buddy" Jones and Troy Jones. She was a member of the Peoples Baptist Church in Jefferson. Linda was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, James Weathers, Jefferson; daughters, Tabitha Fricke, Commerce, and Tara Peppers, Buford; sister, Janelle Murphy, Cornelia; brothers, Paul Jones, Cornelia, and J.H. Jones, Lawrenceville; special brother-in-law, Lebron Weathers; grandchildren, Kirsten Nix, Christopher Cannon, Sheyenne Peppers, Whitney Fricke, Tommy Fricke, and Braxton Fricke; great-grandchild, Jaydin Nix; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, at Crossroads Baptist Church, with the Revs. Joel Shadburn and Paul Jones, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Albert Whitlock officiating.
