Donna Dickson

Donna Dickson, 46, of Lavonia, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from injuries due to an automobile accident.

She was born on December 18, 1961, in Ft. Pierce, Fla., the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Compton Finger. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, where her husband was minister of music, and a member of “The Jubalheirs.” She was a nurse, heavily involved in home health care, truly dedicated to her profession.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Dickson, Lavonia; and a half-brother, Paul Finger, Chattanooga, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, at 2 p.m., in the First Baptist Church of Toccoa with Dr. Jim Nelson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Bluefield, Va.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Dickson will be placed in the church Saturday, October 4, at 1:30, to lie in state until the funeral hour.
