Gertrude Landers Gallups, 88, of Demorest, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at her son’s residence in Cumming, following an extended illness.
She was born on May 2, 1920, in Habersham County, the daughter of the late Meredith and Mary Louise Ivie Landers.
Mrs. Gallups was the mother of Henry Clyde Gallups Jr. of Winder.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 3, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin Stewart Funeral at 2 p.m., with David Terrell officiating. Burial will be in the Landers Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
