COMMERCE - Charles Allen Coleman passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the age of 70 in Atlanta, following an extended illness.
He was born on April 3, 1942 in Greer, S.C., the son of the late Allen and Lorena Coleman. He was married to June Coleman on April 4, 1989. He had been a resident of Commerce since 2004. Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Coleman; and son, Lance Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, June Coleman, Commerce; brothers, Bobby Coleman, Spartanburg, S.C., and Larry Coleman, Commerce; children, Tammy Wright, Greer, S.C., Steven Coleman, Gray Court, S.C., Chad Coleman of Williamston, S.C., Cheri Nash, Jefferson, Shannon Jones, Gainesville, and Melissa Carlson, Fountain Inn, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Darlene Coleman, Gray Court, S.C.; son-in-law, Jon Carlson, Fountain Inn, S.C.; grandchildren, TJ Wright, Travis Wright, Troy Coleman, Timothy Coleman, Kyle Coleman, Chase Coleman, Dustin Nichols, Michelle Nichols, Brian Whitfield, Jonathan Nichols, Jessie Nash, Candice Jones, David Jones, and Kaddie Sutherland; great-grandchildren Destiny Wright, Kaiden Wright, Alexandria Coleman, Drayden Nichols, and Ashton Duffell; and several nieces and nephews.
No funeral services are planned due to Mr. Coleman’s wish to be cremated.
