Mary Lou Fields Dillard, 95, of the Sanford Community, died Monday, September 29, 2008.
Born in Union County, she was the daughter of the late James Andrew and Nellie Gillespie Fields. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gordon’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dillard was preceded in death by her husband, William Otis Dillard; and twins, Harry and Larry Dillard.
Survivors include children, Kenneth Fielding (Geneva Marshall) Dillard, Gloria Andrea (Glenn) Epps, and Sarah Paulette (Eddie) Cooper; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, at 11 a.m., at the Gordon’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Billy Pittman and Bill Coady officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, October 1, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Glenn, Gloria, Chris & Andy, I'm truely sorry to hear of your loss. I know how much you all loved her. She lived a good long life and she no longer has to suffer. She now can go be with Mr. Otis again. I'll be thinking of ya'll and keeping you in my prayers. Take Care !
