COLBERT - Lee Roy Black, 85, died peacefully in his residence Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
A native of Marshall, N.C., he was the son of the late Tink and Lilly Black Davis and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara June Flynn Black. He retired from Charlotte Liberty Insurance Company and as well as the J&J Flea Market where he was a manager. He was of the Baptist denomination. Lee always enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Worley Black; children, Keith Black, Watkinsville, and Paula "Pitter" Black, Colbert; grandchildren, Dustin Keith Black, Tiffany Nichole Cheek, Daniel Joseph Cheek; and great-grandchildren, Destiny Macayla Black and Jayden Donavon Cheek.
Graveside services were held Sunday, February 3, at the Black Family Cemetery with the Rev. Clay Huff officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
