COMMERCE - Alma Lou Hooper Haynes, 78, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Hill Haven Nursing Home.
She was born in Homer, the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Grace Ray Hooper. She was retired from the restaurant industry. Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Haynes; and a brother, Dwayne Hooper.
Survivors include sisters, Ruth Power, Betty Hutchins, and Bonnie Hooper, all of Commerce; a brother, Gene Hooper, Commerce; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 25, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Stowers officiating. Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9 to 11 a.m prior to the service.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Hill Haven Nursing Home and staff and also towards Advantage Hospice.
