‘Gertrude’ Pruitt (1-18-13)

WINDER – Helen “Gertrude” Pruitt, 83, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alma Lee Nelson Saltz. She was a member of Bold Springs Church and had retired from Empire Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Pruitt.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Dena Pruitt, Winder; daughter, Sandra McDaniel, Auburn; grandchildren, Lisa Collett, Stacey Cordell and Dustin McDaniel; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Dot Case, Hendersonville, N.C.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 20, at Smith Memory Chapel. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
