MONROE – Ovid "Kitty" Pierce, 88, died Thursday, January 17, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late John A. and Elise Goode Campbell. She was a member of Carl Baptist Church and was a retired Activity Director of Russell Nursing Home. Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death her husband, James R. Pierce.
Survivors include sons, Richard (Margie) Kinton, Alpharetta, and Thomas (Cabell) Kinton, Richmond, Va.; daughter, Linda (Paul) Jastrzemski, Winder; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, William (Bill) Campbell, Kilmarnock, Va.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday, January 21, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with Linwood Smith and Ray Fumea officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
