Tommie Lou Smith Rice, 94, of Canon, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at the Hart County Hospital in Hartwell.
She was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Etta Lou Carey Smith.
Mrs. Rice was the mother of Annie Lou Dickson of Royston; sister of Carey Williard Smith of Royston; and sister of Veba Phillips, Etta Jo Bell and Mary Jean Smith, all of Royston.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Eldon Massey and Raymond Carr officiating. Burial will be in the Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
